The town at the head of the large and serene Lake Koycegiz has a wonderful paved kordon (promenade), perfect for a leisurely stroll along the lakeside.
There are cruise boats and ferries to take you across the lake and downriver to Dalyan.
Many of the old Mugla style dwellings and Government buildings in Koycegiz have been restored to their former glory. One of them houses an Art Gallery.
After wandering around the town and it's many shops and attractions, call at one of the restaurants for cay or a meal and watch the sun set over the mirror smooth lake. Market day is Monday.
